U-HAUL-IT, LLC | 877-477-HAUL (877-477-4285)
Website Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: September 18, 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern use of the U-HAUL-IT, LLC website and any reservation, rental, payment, or related services offered through the website. By using this website, submitting a reservation request, making a payment, or entering into a rental agreement with U-HAUL-IT, LLC, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Rental Agreement
Website reservations and communications do not replace the applicable Rental Agreement. All trailer rentals are subject to the Rental Agreement and any accompanying waivers, Payment and Credit Card Authorization, inspection forms, or other rental documents. If these website Terms conflict with a signed Rental Agreement regarding a specific rental, the signed Rental Agreement controls for that rental.
2. Reservations & Availability
All reservations are subject to trailer availability and confirmation by U-HAUL-IT, LLC. Submission of a reservation request does not guarantee availability until the reservation has been confirmed.
3. Rental Period & Return Time
U-HAUL-IT, LLC primarily offers daily rentals. Unless otherwise agreed upon at the time of reservation, the trailer must be returned by 6:00 PM on the scheduled rental date, regardless of pickup time.
Customers who need additional time may request a 24-hour rental period. When approved in advance by U-HAUL- IT, LLC, the trailer may be kept for up to 24 hours from the scheduled pickup time. Advance notice and approval are required for a 24-hour rental.
Multi-day rentals may also be scheduled in advance. For an approved multi-day rental, the renter may retain possession of the trailer for the agreed rental period, and the trailer must be returned by 6:00 PM on the final scheduled rental day, unless a different return time has been discussed and approved by U-HAUL-IT, LLC.
The renter is responsible for returning the trailer by the return date and time stated in the reservation or Rental Agreement. Keeping the trailer beyond the agreed rental period without approval may result in late-return or additional rental charges and may interfere with another customer's reservation.
4. Payment
Rental charges, deposits, fees, and other amounts are due according to the terms presented at booking and the applicable Rental Agreement and Payment and Credit Card Authorization.
Payments are processed through Square. Where authorized by the renter, a payment method may be securely maintained through Square for charges permitted under the renter's Rental Agreement and/or Payment and Credit Card Authorization, including, as applicable, rental charges, extensions, late fees, damage or loss, excessive cleaning, missing equipment, recovery expenses, and other authorized amounts due.
By completing and accepting the applicable Payment and Credit Card Authorization, the renter acknowledges and agrees that U-HAUL-IT, LLC may charge the authorized payment method in accordance with the terms of that authorization, the Rental Agreement, and applicable law.
5. Driver Requirements
The responsible party or renter must provide a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance prior to taking possession of the trailer. Anyone who will tow or operate a vehicle while towing a U-HAUL-IT trailer must be properly licensed and authorized.
Any additional driver must be disclosed to and authorized by U-HAUL-IT, LLC before operating with the trailer and must also provide a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance prior to use.
All drivers are responsible for complying with applicable licensing, insurance, vehicle, towing, and traffic requirements.
6. Tow Vehicle Responsibility
The renter is responsible for ensuring the tow vehicle is legally and mechanically capable of towing the rented trailer and its intended load. The renter is responsible for complying with applicable towing, weight, load- securement, and traffic requirements.
7. Trailer Use
Trailers may be used only for lawful purposes and within their specified weight, loading, and operating limitations. Overloading, improper loading, unauthorized modification, reckless use, or use inconsistent with the trailer's intended purpose is prohibited.
8. Damage, Loss & Cleaning
The renter may be responsible for damage, loss, excessive cleaning, missing equipment, improper use, towing or recovery expenses, and other charges as provided in the Rental Agreement and Payment and Credit Card Authorization.
9. Late Returns
Trailers must be returned at the agreed return time. Late-return or additional rental charges may apply as provided in the Rental Agreement, Payment and Credit Card Authorization, or rate schedule. U-HAUL-IT, LLC reserves the right to assess applicable charges when an unauthorized late return extends the rental period or affects a subsequent reservation.
10. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds
Cancellation, rescheduling, refund, and no-show policies communicated during booking or contained in the Rental Agreement apply to each reservation.
11. Website Information
U-HAUL-IT, LLC makes reasonable efforts to keep website pricing, availability, specifications, photographs, and other information accurate. Information may be corrected or updated when errors occur.
12. Intellectual Property
The U-HAUL-IT name, logos, graphics, photographs, website content, forms, and other branded materials may not be reproduced or used without permission from U-HAUL-IT, LLC.
13. Website Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, U-HAUL-IT, LLC is not responsible for losses resulting solely from website interruptions, technical errors, inaccurate information supplied by a user, or unauthorized access outside the reasonable control of U-HAUL-IT, LLC.
14. Governing Law; Exclusive Jurisdiction & Venue
These Terms & Conditions, the Rental Agreement, the Payment and Credit Card Authorization, and any other agreement between the renter and U-HAUL-IT, LLC shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, any lawsuit, claim, action, or legal proceeding arising out of or relating to U-HAUL-IT, LLC, the rental or use of its equipment, these Terms & Conditions, the Rental Agreement, the Payment and Credit Card Authorization, or any other agreement with U-HAUL-IT, LLC shall be brought exclusively in a state court of competent jurisdiction located in the State of Utah or, where federal subject-matter jurisdiction exists, in the appropriate United States District Court located in Utah.
